LOVE TIP: You never know who is watching, and kindness leaves a lasting impression. When you are nice to others, it makes it safer for others to approach you. Compliment a stranger, smile at a person walking by, and say, “Good Morning.” Sometimes that is all it takes to meet someone. “Every encounter makes a difference.”

14. Do you flirt enough? Do you know how to flirt?
15. Are you happy and balanced in your life?

LOVE TIP: Get to know what really makes you happy and do those activities now. Don’t wait for a mate to travel, take dancing lessons, work out, repaint your apartment, get new bedding or that new couch … do it NOW! Act as if you have a lover in your life before they come.

17. Do you schedule time to meet new people, and do you keep your options open?

Watch your thoughts carefully. The thoughts you think about love and relationships show up in every conversation, your body language and the “Energy” you project. Believe in LOVE and keep your heart open!

LOVE TIP: Stay open to younger, older, and in-between. Attraction has to do with energy, attitude and openness. When it comes to dating… there are no “rules,” just unlimited possibilities.

My Birthday surprize!

My Birthday was OCT 12th and on Sat the 10th my husband had a big disco party for me and flew in my father Robert Piane and Angel my sister in to surprize me! Joe my hubby did a video of my life and we had a disco theme! The day after the party my Dad had trouble breathing and had to be rushed to the hospital. Thanks God we took him! He had clots in his lungs and if we had not gone in to the hospital that night he could have died in our house!

This hs has been a wild week with lots of emotions and support from our friends and family.
My Daddy is still in the hospital and getting stronger every day. He is charming all the pretty nurses with his funny stories and great sense of humour. The most unbelievable part is he likes the hospital food at UCLA hospital….they make food to order and they serve the food in tuxedo outfits. Only in LA would this happen.

He is hoping to be discovered on this visit so he can star in a mafia movie! He is hilarious! Here he is at my birthday party and he will be here recovering for a bit until he is safe to travel! He is loving all the gorgeous girls and all my friends coming to see him

My sister Angel is here and we are having family bonding time! This is what life is all about going with each moment as it comes…You never know how long you have to live! Thank God he did not die on my birthday. We are so grateful and are making more memories every day! this will be one of his famous stories to tell…and he has many! so make sure you take time for love and tell all those you love that youlove them!

I Need Help! My Girlfriend Flirts with other Men!

I need Help!

I have been in a 5 year relationship with my girlfriend and I love her very much. However, I don’t think we have a healthy relationship because of the things she does:

1. two times I have caught her red-handed kissing other men

2. she has got a lot of other men’s phone numbers despite that on several occasions I have asked her to stop giving out her phone number to men.

3. I have changed phone numbers more than 3 times because men she claims to be her friends end up getting my phone number from her phone and start to insult me.

4. of late she has been receiving weird text messages from 3 different men whom I am suspicious she may be cheating on me with.

If I ask her she claims I do not trust her but how can I trust her when she doesn’t fulfill her promises. I want to leave her so that those guys can be happy but I am afraid because she is jobless and may suffer.

Please help me.

Dear Renee (Love Mechanic)
I have been dating this guy for a few weeks who I’ve know for a couple months. I know that doesn’t seem very long, but we have been spending a lot of time together and I have started to feel very attached to him. We get along great, we can talk for hours we have amazing chemistry. We have not slept together and have not done anything besides kissing. I didn’t think that things were getting too serious, but I was getting excited that this was turning into something because he was sending me so many “green light signals” that you’ve described in your book.

Then a few nights ago, he told me that he really likes me, but he was not ready to date anyone because of a past relationship that had ended several months ago. He told me that he was very in love, but is not in love anymore and that I am the first girl he has tried to date since the breakup. He says he wants to be friends. I am surprised he’s sprung this on me so early into our relationship. Obviously, he is still very heartbroken. I would like to be his friend and I don’t want to lose him. Does he not want to date me because he is afraid I’m going to hurt him? How can I gain his trust? Am I wasting my time? I’ve dated a lot of other guys and none of them “fit” with me the way he does. I don’t want to give up, but maybe I should. How can I keep him in my life, but not scare him away? He really is making an effort to stay friends by calling and e-mails. So, I think he really does care for me. How can I be his friend without wanting to be more? Will he ever change his mind?

Dear Can I Really be His Friend,
First let me say thank your lucky stars that he has been so honest with you and that you didn’t jump into bed with him. If you got this attached without sex, imagine how you would feel if you did connect without knowing him very well. He obviously is not ready to be serious and out of respect he told you the laser truth. Good for him and now it is time for you to get real with yourself! He obviously cares for you but the timing is off.

About being just friends? Friendship is the best foundation for a lasting relationship, yet it is time to slow down hanging out with him because you obviously want more than he has to give at this time. He has respect for you enough to tell you his feelings and not lead you on, but you need to ask yourself… do you really want to be with someone who isn’t really ready or open to you and just be a friend? Will you really be able to hang out without expectations and questions over the if’s and when’s that will obsess your mind? All your energy will be focused on wanting more and him not being ready. There is nothing worse than waiting for someone to change his mind and you using your time and energy when he already told you his feelings. You’ll be pining, wondering, tossing and turning over a man who spoke his truth… No way! You want more girl, so get real with your feelings and be truthful to your own soul. If you can see him without any expectations fine…be friends but keep dating other men. Can you do that?

Ask yourself: What is your definition of a friend? Will you really be able to be yourself without expecting him to switch gears eventually? So much time and energy wasted is so draining, so ask yourself those questions and be really honest with yourself. There is not a right or wrong answer, only what is best for your own life and growth.

You must get on with your life, be sweet, check in with him but don’t see him for make out sessions or give him too much of your time while he is healing, since it will lower your self esteem. If he is the right “fit” he will come chasing after you when he is ready since you stopped giving him your energy and love. Women often give away our power to men and your heart is sensitive so take care of it…stay busy and continue dating. You obviously have read my “Love Mechanics” book and realize there is another passenger in his vehicle who is still has his heart in knots. That’s something he needs to take care of himself and you need to be free to explore all the great men that are available to love you. Once you do move on you’ll be in a better space to really be his friend and have your heart intact to be open to love. As I always say…”Look at a rejection as God’s protection” At his point you must get back into the driver’s seat, regain your power, date other men and let him heal. HOW TO CREATE AN AMAZING VALENTINE’S DAY WHETHER YOU ARE SINGLE, IN LOVE OR CASUALLY DATING

Valentine’s Day is upon us again and what a great time to look at the love and beauty that surrounds us.
Whether paired up or solo, are we content in our own hearts? Can we grasp the truth that love starts on the inside? So many hearts feel so a lot of pressure since the focus is romance and often those we are in love with don’t step up to our expectations.
Why ponder the lack and be grateful for any love in your life right now. If you can’t find a trinket of love in your heart, perhaps it is time to look at love from a different set of eyes. Love comes from giving it away and often we need to give ourselves permission to love again.
This media crazy day can stir the heart strings if you let it.
Take a look inside and ask are you giving yourself the love you’re asking for? Love flows & expands when it is appreciated and shared from a generous heart.
Think of all the people you love in your life and express it.

SINGLE? Be your own Valentine and treat yourself to something sweet and make some fun plans.
Don’t stay home alone and pout. So if you are alone this Valentine’s Day there is love to express by taking the lead and plan a gathering of friends (even a few) and go to dinner, go out dancing, bowling or to a play. I call it the “LOVE CLUB”
and we have done this ritual for years.

Another option is to play cupid and bring along a single friend (of the opposite sex) who doesn’t know anyone in your group.
Who knows what magic could happen! Plan ahead! Be in charge…
Be your own Valentine! There are many events and parties happening around town so check the papers or plan your own. Have each person bring a gift (like a flower or chocolates) and celebrate love and friendship together. Count your blessings and toast to the love yet to come. Tell each other your vision and the type of person you’re looking for. Assist and support each other you in your search.

IN LOVE? If you have a special Valentine be grateful and take time to express the reason you have chosen this heart to cherish. It’s a day to be romantic and playful. Writing a love letter or a poem and leave sweet love notes can quick start the romance. Ladies often men feel so much pressure to know what you want, so subtle hints are great in casual conversation.
But in these financial times ,you can also take the lead and tell your man you have something special happening and make a plan of your own. I have created theme nights with a special candles all over the house and Rose petals leading to a bath, massage,delicious food and romance. Use your imagination and remember men are visual so wears something that brings out the goddess in you!

CASUAL DATERS? Don’t be afraid to send a token of friendship even if you are not exclusively dating. Valentine’s Day is a day to express feeling but no worries…you don’t have to commit.
Ladies…I work with mostly men and VD it is just not a big deal for most men, so be cool if they don’t send roses. Just Chill! Here are a few suggestions for people who are just starting to date to do without going overboard. A small thoughtful gift can make someone’s day and you don’t have to spend tons of cash.

1. Leave a funny card and a small box of chocolates 2. Place Hershey kisses at their door step or car with a single flower.
3. Go to lunch instead of an expensive dinner 4. To ease the pressure…Discuss your thoughts and say “Hey I like you but we aren’t at the Valentines Stages yet and I am getting together with friends for a dinner if you’d like to join us.” Then your friends can check out your date and you can please everyone!

Need A SARAH PALIN LOOK ALIKE? MOVE OVER TINA FEA Renee Piane La # 1 Dating guru looks like the REAL SARAH PALIN and she appeared on a date with OBAMA causing a scene on the Westside last night!

I was out last night and a friend of mine is an amazing local true Sarah Palin look alike. She hit the streets of Santa Monica last night as Sarah Paliand caused a scene with her husband Joe Campanella dressed as Obama! Renee Piane says …“We never saw anything like the response we got from both sides of the political fench”. Renee Piane is the President and founder of Rapiddating.com has been told constantly that she looks exactly like Sarah since Palin was added to the McCain ticket a few months ago. Piane claims “When Sarah Palin was in California people actually waved to me, asked me to take photos with them at malls, drugstores and stopped me to tell me their personal opinion on Sarah’s policies. I have been stared at every where I go and last night my husband and I decided to go out on a date dressed as Obama and Sarah for fun. This whole idea of dressing like Sarah came from my friends at Marina Fitness Club since all the members called me Sarah everyday.”

An artist friend Louis from the gym begged Renee to attend the Santa Monica civic Auditorium Contemporary Crafts Market on Friday and she showed up at 5:30 pm with her husband to honor her request. Louis was thrilled and they caused a huge scene there. From 5:30Pm-1:00Am they were bombarded with fans from the minute they left their home in Narina Del Rey.” They apparently worked on the voices and Renee gave away Hershey kisses, winks and took hundreds of photos all night long with her husband telling folks she and Obama were on a date. Joe really sounded like Obama and was giving away fake money and hugs to his fans all over the 3^rd Street promenade and Main Street in Santa Monica. We all stopped in to see friends at Monsoons last night and we were asked to crash a Jewish wedding upstairs in the private dining room . All the guests believed they were hired to stir up the friends and family of the bride and groom. They told guests it was done in the spirit of Halloween and everyone clapped and took pictures.

Joe Campanella “Could not believe how many request we had for photos and how many people loved Obama from all over the world. Our gang moved on to Main street and Joe and Renee won the BEST contest at the world Café! They took photos and danced and people said all night “believe me you should have this girl on TV as Sarah! It is amazing” Move over Tina Fey Renee Piane is in the neighborhood! We have hundreds of pictures and are shocked at all people applauding them everywhere they went from all over the world! We even ran into one of the finalists from American Idle who was happy to pose with us.”

NO CALLS BACK from Women what am I doing wrong?

Dear RENEE ,

I am stuck. I see pretty girls online, I talk them, I get their phone numbers, I call them, and I haven’t been getting phone calls back. I have tried several different approaches when I call them. The first one, I used the old industry standard, was waiting a minimum of three days. Well that didn’t work. Therefore, I thought I seemed too eager. I then waited more than a week, I left a message, and there was no return phone call. I even asked out the cute red head at the coffee shop, she said yes. So this time I gave her my
number because I didn’t want to come off too aggressive, and there was no call. I kept thinking, what am I doing wrong? I tried to talk to a couple of different females about this, and they all said keep calling until you are asked to stop calling. But I think that is just too creepy for me. I usually leave three messages, no more than four. If I don’t get a phone call, then I would get the hint that she is not interested. In addition, if she is too busy to call me back, I think she isn’t someone who I would want to go out with anyway.

I seem to be doing everything right when I see an attractive female, because I get her number at the end of the conversation. However, there is a black hole between standing between me getting a date. I have ruled out talking myself out of a date by saying too much too quick, because I never get to talk to them. I ruled out fake phone numbers, because I have talked to a couple of the roommates. Am I having bad luck, or am I doing something wrong? Before I get another pretty girl’s phone number and screw that up, can this be fixed?

This sounds sooooo frustrating…. what a bummer! First of all, keep going…you are doing something RIGHT by getting their interest and the number but something is NOT happening is your communication on the follow up. If you are online dating you must be extra smooth with your delivery since many other men may be courting her. Then carry through the confidence in your communication. VERY IMPORTANT: Most women are auditory so something you are saying is turning them off although your profile and or meeting you out initially perked their interest. I have a few suggestions for you! you might want to read my book LOVE MECHANICS at my website below.

1. Get a tape recorder and listen to your voice! Have you ever listened to your own voice?”

Do you have a feminine tone or high pitched voice? Some men aren’t aware of how they sound over the phone (especially when they are nervous). They leave messages that sound boring, needy, frustrated, or even gay. Sound familiar? Tape yourself and discover how your message might be a turn on or turn off…You may be surprised! I’m sure the tone of some people voices irritates you! How does yours sound?

2. Check your vibes…. I get a distinct “nice guy vibe” from you with out knowing you! I don’t mean that harshly but you might be sending out a vibe that seems needy and it may come across without you being aware of it! Get clear on the vibes you send. Consider using my tool tools to help you learn what women want!

3. Be a man with a plan! When you call have a place to take her with a date in mind! Most men leave a message like” Hi Susan… Bob here, we met yesterday. I’m calling to say hi…give ma a call soon! Bye!

Instead try “Hey Susan it was so fun running into you on Saturday. I have tickets to a great concert Friday and you and I would have a blast! Call me by tomorrow to let me know if you’re available! My # is —- and I’m looking forward to having some fun! Feel the difference by being “A Man with a plan!” rather than just an old ordinary message? There needs to be a call to action! You are selling her on a good time with you! It’s more difficult for her not to call even if she can’t make it, than to offer her another plan without sounding needy .If she doesn’t call back then she is just not interested or has too many suitors …move on! “Being a Man with a Plan” is one of the main tools that really works with women along with many other I have to share!

I love your column…I’m a single mother with 2 children. What advice do you have for the single moms who want to date? Are men interested in dating single moms?

Dear Curious Single Mom (but this advice goes for both sexes),

I have facilitated over 200,000 singles connecting in Southern California at Rapid Dating and Networking events. I’d say at least 1/3 or more are single parents. Dating for Single parents can be a challenge and getting back into the dating arena takes time, a healed heart and openness to love again. Yes, some men do not mind dating single mother, but some are a bit leery.

I have facilitated men’s seminars for years and many men are open to dating single moms if they aren’t in the bitter break up phase. Face it ladies, men love being the center of our universe and we must look at the reality from both sides of the fence. You have to make them see you will have time for them.

Dating with kids is a balancing act, especially for women. In most cases, the children live with mom most of the time and once you adjust to the separation, the new status of being single again, it’s time to get back into the “Drivers seat of your Love Life”. Just like doing any new sport (and dating can seem like one) take baby steps. Create a pit crew of support with friends and family and don’t talk about your “ex” to men or women when you connect.

Here are some tools for getting back into the game: These tools apply to single Dad’s too!

Heal yourself and get the kids settled in before you go on a dating rampage

Pamper yourself and prepare mentally by reading book and articles such as this
Get a supportive (pit crew) to make some space in your life for new friends and dates (swap kids for dating nights)
Check your beliefs about finding love and friendship again (if you don’t believe you can… you will not be open to it, period.)
Would you date you in the state you are in? Get help if you need it. Come to my women’s seminar on and learn how men think and open your heart to men.
Have fun flirting, and don’t dress like a “frumpy” mom. Show off your assets and wear things that enhance your beauty (call me for a makeover or if you need a wardrobe pickup)
Explore your dating options online and networking events.
